Throw Back Thursday: Bubbly Quilt

About this time, four years ago, we had our first quilt making it’s way to Houston for quilt market.  It was our Bubbly Quilt.

It was just a simple raw edged applique quilt that I made using my circle die and Accuquilt Go cutter.

At that time I was so jealous of our little quilt getting to go to quilt market and us having to stay home.  At the time we only ever dreamed of going to quilt market and then we only thought we’d ever go as regular visitors.  We never dreamed we’d be there for any other reason.

Fast forward four years and we’re still not going to quilt market in Houston….but we do have plans to go to quilt market in the spring in Minneapolis!  We can’t wait.

Our quilt book, Country Girl Modern, will be out and hopefully shown in Kansas City Stars’ booth.  Ya-hoo!!  We can’t wait.

This only goes to prove that we really don’t know what lies ahead in life…honestly, we never had a clue that we’d author a quilt book.  Thanks for following along with us on this journey.

Oh and back to that Bubbly quilt.  You can read all about how to make one by following this link to the original blog post.  It’s really fun and VERY quick.  No piecing required!! I made mine on my long arm but don’t be afraid to try it on your domestic machine.  My friend made one and she had no problem.

  1. So glad you posted this. I was over the border and dropped into Jo Ann’s on Monday. One of the things I picked up was this circle cutter. I knew I wanted it to do a cathedral window type quilt and now I have another one.
