The Story of a Die Hard Quilter

Bright and early yesterday morning, I took Kelli to the oral surgeon where they removed her wisdom teeth.  She came home and took a quick nap with her dog…
KelliTeeth-2
and then she was quilting!
I told her I would take the day off and do whatever she wanted.  I had Netflix ready to watch movies but no….she didn’t want to “waste” the time doing that.  She wanted to quilt.

We both dived into our Civil War reproduction fabrics to make quilt on the cover of  this issue of American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine.

We are each making our own version of the quilt…each a slightly different version.  She got her’s all cut out….I didn’t…Can you believe that?  The gal who had the teeth removed was faster than me…that’s what I call a die hard quilter.

  1. l look forward to seeing progress on both quilts. l bought that mag recently and love that quilt on the front cover. Perfect for repro’s. l have some ufo’s to finish up first, then that might go to top of the list. Thanks for sharing.

  2. oooogh I soooo loved that cover quilt when I received my magazine a few months back too! and I’ve been collecting CW fat quarters for a loooong time – but unfortunately I’ve also been collecting “WIP’s” and can’t even begin to think about starting one more… so since I can’t – I’ll enjoy watching yours and your daughters come along :) Which by the way LUCKY her to be doing so well after her wisdom teeth extraction! I wasn’t so lucky when I had mine done in my 20’s…

    Love from Texas! ~bonnie
