A couple weeks ago hubby and I went on a day trip. For us that typically means a few stops at places that I love…antiques and quilt! We were going through Manchester, Iowa and I told hubby I wanted to stop at the quilt shop. I had only been to the shop once before and enjoyed it.
The lady at the counter was wonderful…sweet to visit with and very accommodating….
The shop has lots of paper pieced samples. Honestly, if you are a paper piecer, this is a great shop for you. They had the most paper pieced samples that I have seen in a shop…here are a few.
I loved this barn.
Here is a cute design with Christmas Trees.
The gal in the shop said their classes for paper piecing fill quickly.
I can see why. With such great shop samples, who wouldn’t want to paper piece? I admit it. Even me who hates paper piecing was tempted.
Oh and don’t forget the tulips…
This was my favorite paper pieced project.
They had a great display of projects made the the Kansas Troubles quilt fabric.
I was amazed at all the samples considering the gal said they had part of their goodies off at a quilt show.
They had some cute valentine things on display too….
This table runner was cute too.
Being a love of Miss Rosie’s patterns, I recognized this one right away.
I have lots of buttons and was tempted by this pattern.
The thing that was most attractive to me was the embroidery patterns. I know it’s not Christmas but I loved these SO much, that I bought the pattern.
From that picture they aren’t so cute…so here’s a close up.
I ended up buying the pattern….the other pattern that ended up purchasing was this.
I am always looking for project to make for church benefits and this one is perfect.
All is all, it was a great shop. There were lots of things I didn’t show you…bags and purses…towels..oh all sorts of goodies. The shop is definitely worth a visit. The gal working was so nice, friendly and helpful…the projects were fun to look at…it was roomy yet had a cozy feel too. I’m sure I’ll be back again!
Glad you remembered your camera this time! I had a shop near me that carried lots of paper pieced patterns. She closed last year though. I never noticed that barn pattern before. I think that needs to go on my wishlist! I have a few of the MH Designs patterns, but haven’t made one yet. Thanks for sharing another treasure of a shop with us!
I love quilt shops with lots and lots of eye candy on the walls!
I was so excited when I saw your post this morning! I have family in Manchester, and I always have to take a quick trip to this shop when I visit them! :)
