It was some time ago that I told you that we were expecting a new grandbaby sometime in early April. Buck and Lora were adding to their family.
They already had Scotty and Lucy….
Scotty is 4 1/2 and Lucy is 2.
On Tuesday morning they went in and Lora was induced. The plans were to go in Thursday but things changed due to COVID-19. The doctors are trying to not flip back and forth from clinic to delivery so much. That meant that they wanted Lora to deliver earlier so thus inducing on Tuesday.
They didn’t find out if they were having a boy or a girl…so there was a lot of suspense with the family…They ended up having….
a GIRL!!!
In the midst of the crazy world something joyful happened. Buck and Lora had their baby. I’m not allowed to go see her so I’m hoping for a flood of pictures.

We are all so excited. I adore this picture. I love Lucy’s little hands on her hips. I’m hoping she doesn’t have some crazy thoughts of new little Lilly taking her place as the baby.
I think it’s going to be so cute to have Lucy and Lilly.
I had to laugh. Shortly after this picture was taken Buck called and said, “Mom, how did you have five of us?” Bahahaha….he said this cute special family moment lasted about 5 minutes then the oldest two were off to do their own thing.
I have to admit, a part of me is sad too. No Grandma visits. No seeing her in the flesh…no Grandma snuggles. No Grandma kisses for awhile. I am so thankful that Buck is good with facetime and calling.
So if anyone is keeping track…Here’s the grandkid tally….
Kalissa and Craig have Gannon and Carver (on the left)
Kayla and Spencer have Jasper (I’m holding)
Buck and Lora have Scotty and Lucy (and now Lilly)-(back right)
Kelli and Jason have Georgia (front right)
Our own kids are 8 years apart..and we have five. Our oldest kids didn’t have kids right away and were in their 30s when they did. So when our youngest had the first grandchild, I said I figured we’d add more quickly and we have. Each of them is a true blessing and I love being their grandma.
I hope to show you all many pictures of Lilly in the years to come.
Congratulations Jo!!!! Lilly is so sweet!!!

Just wondering how Kayla and Spenser are doing?
take care.
Jo – How very exciting to have little Lilly to look forward to holding and so glad you can see lots of pictures to see and share – you are such a fun grandma – I am sure they are looking forward to having you come. I love Buck’s statement about how did you do it :) – I admire how our kids parent our grandchildren.
In the midst of the two biggest trials of your life, you have been blessed with grandchildren. That just about trumps the difficulties. My last grandchild came after my husband passed. Quick as a wink, I sold our home of 30 years and moved near to the city, closer to my family. It was the biggest change, and the best thing ever. Soon enough you will have a clear path to enjoy all your grands including this newest. Lilly seems like an old name, coming around again, and it’s a darling name for such a treasure. Seven grands Jo, that’s got to be a record. Enjoy!
Congratulations to the whole family on the birth of Lilly Jo. Thank you for sharing with us.

Congratulations on another sweet grandchild. Holding Lily will be all the better from the waiting. Grandchildren are the best gift. Stay safe Jo.
Congratulations to you all! How precious and so nice to see something so miraculous during these tough times!
Congratulations to you & Buck & Lora! She is beautiful!!! Lily Jo, what a sweet name for the sweet little bundle. Enjoy her whenever you can.
Congrats to all
Hi Jo!
What a joyful day for your family. Congratulations to all of you, she is beautiful. Lots of babies to love on as time goes by.
Congrats to all!
How blessed you are indeed! And such a lovely name.
Hugs,
Super cute, Jo!! Congrats on adding Lilly as your newest grand. Congrats to Buck and Lora, too!!
Blessings…your quiver is filling up fast!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! It makes me sad that you can’t just hop in the car and go see her. It’s good your son keeps you in the loop through technology. I miss my grandkids too, especially the two six year olds. Their mom is pretty good about posting pics on FB but our son was always good about calling and bringing them to see us. Those days are gone now and we would have been working on finding a new normal if this stupid virus hadn’t gotten in the way. What would we do without today’s online way of communicating?
Congratulations! I love all your children and grandchildren–what a lovely family!
She is absolutely adorable! Congrats to all of you! Just have mom or dad give her kisses from grandma! The time will go fast (but not fast enough)!
