Yesterday morning I was at the computer writing a blog post and not paying a lot of attention to the wrestling dogs. Â I was pet sitting Betsy while Kalissa was at work so Ruby and Betsy got a play day. Â The dogs were doing their typical wrestling-nipping and biting, playing tug of war and rough housing. Â I didn’t think anything of it until I heard the dog bell on the door ring. Â I got up to let the dogs out-came around the corner to this….
Toilet paper all over the kitchen floor….and who is the culprit?? Â BETSY!!!
Ruby never in her entire life has been attracted to paper or toilet paper…Betsy is drawn to it like a magnet. Â She will chew and find anything that resembles paper…a business card, grocery list, scrap of packing, a receipt, quilt designs…anything that is paper and she chews it like CRAZY!! Â The dogs were never quiet while they were wrestling so I have no idea how this could have happened in between all the wrestling…and honestly it wasn’t at the computer for more than five minutes before the bell rang!! Â Oh Betsy….
She is a little diva dog-that’s for sure. Â It seems there is never a dull moment around here.
This cracks me up! I have a toilet paper thief too! It was especially funny when you said it wasn’t quiet at all! That is a sure sign of trouble! Double trouble, in your case! LOL!
Brother-in-laws dog eats Kleenex, prefers used ones! He’s 14 and has done it his whole life.
She’s so cute and super guilty looking! We taught our dog to ring a bell to go out as well. It only took her two weeks to get the hang of it. Best thing we ever did!
Our 9 month min. Schouser loves and kind oh paper. Or the stuffing out of a pillow, newspaper. And the inserts from DH shoes…we check for paper when we leave the house.
We have a one-year-old Samoyed who is a expert paper shredder. We could hire him out to businesses. He is finally leaving newspapers and toilet paper alone, but does eat a used Kleenex once in a while.
Oh boy…those cute little puppies can get into so much trouble! Today our beagle Baylee ate DH’s Bose Stereo remote, ruht-roh! Tell us more about the dog bell on your door…Baylee isn’t giving signs of needing to go out yet at 9 mos., so maybe we need another training tool.
Our dog, too, loved Kleenex. If she got hold of a box, she would pull every one out! She would also get into peoples purses to hunt for them!!
