Sunday Stash Report and Perkiomen Daydreams

If you’re here to see my stash report..it’s easy..no change.  If you want to hear about my silly weekend, read on.

Our daughter Kelli had a couple vacation days to use up so Thursday and Friday she came home and we sewed.  We sewed LOTS on things I can’t show you yet…but after most of day sewing on those projects we gave up on them decided to sew on what we REALLY wanted to be sewing on…our Perkiomen Daydreams quilts.  After a couple of hours of sewing strips….

we got a little crazy.   Kelli started it.  She grabbed 1.5″ strips and decided we needed to be more festive looking.  Before I knew it, she had a strip tied on my head.

I cried no fair you need one too…

Then Kelli thought the dogs needed a head band too….That’s about when our youngest daughter Kalissa came in and decided we were just plain crazy.

She insisted on a picture.

Gracie thinks I need to act my age…

…and I’m thinking what fun is that?!?!?   Anyway..back to the quilt.  We have LOTS of strips sewn.  Here is the number five strip box.

We are done sewing that type of strips…we have 800..enough for TWO quilts!!!  We don’t have the other strip sets completely cut and counted.  We are hoping we have close to 800 of those too.   We have about 150 blocks completely finished.  I am super happy with our progress.  We have lots of sewing left but I am having a great time….

  1. You can never deny she is your child…y’all look like twins! And looks like y’all are having TOO much fun! I have been tempting my daughter and now granddaughter to sew/quilt. Hope it takes. Love your stories, keep up the great job!

  2. You two were having too much fun! But that is the best part! Wish my daughter lived close enough to have fun with. But she will be here for Thanksgiving! Looking forward to that!

  3. You two certainly were having fun and isn’t that what being with daughters is all about. You’re so lucky to have your daughter close by so you can do these things together, or, are you really twin sisters tricking us???
