Sunday Stash Report

Hey all…First off let me tell you that Hubby and I took off for a couple days visiting the kids and antiquing.  I am so far behind on email and correspondence so it you sent something to me and I didn’t answer…that’s why.  I’ll get to it eventually…oh and thanks for the book Ila.  (That’s another story…)

In our part of Iowa, down time for farmers is from the last week in July until mid August when school starts so we try to pack as many things as possible into that small time frame.   I have lots of pictures to show you from when I was out but those are all going to have to wait a couple days too…for today it’s time for the “quilters confessional” otherwise known as the stash report.

I was running low on red fabric for the centers of these pineapple blocks.  I picked up 1 1/2 yards of red Kona for the red accent pieces.  Right now I have five blocks done and one border block done.  That’s not many…

Sad but true….I haven’t touch the sewing machine since Tuesday of last week (this is a crime!)….oh I have the itch to sew and today’s the day I am getting back to it.  I don’t have my block for August’s Quilt Square Quilt Along done so I need to work on that.

Used this Week:   0 yards
Used year to Date:   77  yards

Added this Week:   1.5 yards
Added Year to Date:    84.5 yards (25 from Moda)

Net Used for 2012:  -7.5 Yards of store bought fabric…19 yards of recycled fabric…

I have a few giveaways going on that you will want to check out.

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress on this quilt in future blogs! What do you use for your foundation papers? I think BH’s latest book should be in my mailbox when I get home from my vacation next week and I’m so excited to see it!
