At the end of March, I am planning to go see Bonnie Hunter when she is with the Mississippi Valley Quilters. One of the quilts we are doing for the workshops is Smith Mountain Morning. I’ve been really wanting to make the quilt so I’m happy that this is one of the workshops being offered. Although I have lots of fabric, brown is a color that I don’t readily purchase and for this quilt, I need lots of brown.
While I was at the quilt shop picking up some quilting thread, I decided to pick up some brown fabric. Here is my stack of quarter yard cuts.
I have plenty of blue. I need to check on my white supply. I am really excited to be working on this quilt. I think it’s a beauty.

I would LOVE to see Bonnie Hunter! Have fun.
Bet you have a barrel of fun at Bonnie’s visit. Can you tell me which book has Smith Mountain Morning in it? I checked Bonnie’s site and Amazon and can’t get an index of what quilt is in which book. I have Adventures with Leaders & Enders. Thank you in advance.
I had the chance to see lecture and do workshop with Bonnie in Seattle…..great fun. Keep an eye out for the cow and chicken fabric pieces in many many of her quilts:) Are you going to the sale at Country Threads tomorrow? Love to meet you.
