Sunday Stash Report….

WOW…a lot can happen in a week!!  Last week I had just gotten back from seeing Bonnie and showed you two bags of fabric I was too tired to even open….

Here’s what was inside.

…backings and fat quarters.  Everything was on sale or some type of clearance.  On our way out to Storm Lake, we stopped at a Quilter’s Window, New Hampton, Iowa.  They were having a sale.  I bought a few fat quarters and two pieces of backing fabric off the clearance rack.  I’ll have backings for “My Blue (red) Heaven” and for “Pineapple Blossoms”.

Then in Storm Lake one of the quilt shops there was having a big sale… fifty cents for selected fat quarters and $2 for selected yardage.  I got the tan piece of yardage for a backing and I got the brown piece on the bottom of the stack for a potential border fabric for “Pineapple Blossoms”.

There were just too many goodies to pass up….It ended up being 26 yards worth of fabric.  UGH.  That puts a huge dent in my report.  I did have a finished quilt this week….my Crumb Quilt.  Here’s a sneak peek.  If you didn’t see the complete blog post about it earlier, you can follow this link.

So my official stash report is…

Used this Week:   2 yards red fabric for the Crumb Quilt.  7 yards or recycled fabric for the Crumb Quilt.

Used year to Date:   145 yards

Added this Week:     26 yards
Added Year to Date:    121 yards

Gifted:  68 yards

Net Used for 2011:  22 Yards of store bought fabric…9.5 yards of recycled fabric….68 yards gifted.

I have a quilt being featured on Moda Bake Shop this week so stop back…and to see more stash reports, head on over to Patchwork Times.

  1. no worries! you’ll be using the backing fabrics soon enough! and prolly at midnight when a brick and mortar store isn’t open to shop in!

  2. You got some really lovely fat quarter selections for unheard of prices! I’ve seen dollar fat qtr. sales get pretty dangerous if you get your hand in the wrong color section!
