My Crumb quilt is coming along far enough so that I needed to make some decision…
The polka dot is for the backing…the two different reds are for the crumb quilts. Â The brighter red for the recycled fabric version and the darker for the Civil War version. Â I bought enough of the polka dot to do the binding too.
I’ve been working pretty hard on the quilt and am hoping to give you a peek at it tomorrow. Â The top should be finished by then. Â All of you crumb alongers will get a better idea of what blocks you like and how many of each you will want to make. Â I put words in my border and I know some of you don’t want to do that….I think after a week of making star blocks, you might need to see what all your hard work is going to reap. Â Maybe it will enough to get some of you who are on the fence about trying, off the fence and crumbing along. Â Stop back tomorrow…in the meantime,
here’s the official stash report…

i enjoy your site so much. crumbing along out here and loving it. thanks for all that you share.
I like that binding fabric, I’m a “pokey-dot” fan! I’ve started crumbing along and it really is fun, although I haven’t made a decision yet about adding words… we’ll see later along the way. Is Mr. Linky full?

Jo, are you going to give a mini tutorial on the lettering? I thought I would not do that, but now I have decided to do so. Or do I need to order that book? I have been working away…..started making heart blocks and have not stopped!
Crumb along question- are the blocks suppost to be cut at 6 and ahalf to finish at 6″ ?? Not sure if I am getting my finished cut size correct.
Other than being a bit behind, I’m loving crumbing along. Especially looking at the variety out there.
Gifted yardage is out of your stash, right? So then it’s part of the total of what you used donated – so really you’ve used/gifted 110.5 yards – impressive number, Jo.
