Yesterday my oldest daughter Kelli and I traveled to our favorite quilt shop, Country Threads. Â We had a marvelous time…bought goodies galore and made it home with less money in our wallet but with a definitely a happy heart. Â I totally love going there. Â It’s a 80 minute drive from here so there’s plenty or talk time too.
I tried to stay goal oriented when I went. Â I carried a couple projects with so that I wouldn’t be tempted buy too many things and start even more projects. Â Here’s what I left the store with….
There’s 4.5 yards of fabric total. Â There’s fabric to make the base part of this project….four fat quarters of Civil War reproduction fabrics and 1/4 yard of the red for a project I need to get working on.
Typically I go HOG wild when I’m there but this time, I restrained. Â I tried to be a bit more project focused. Â I have lots more goodies to show you….more things I bought, more techniques I learned about….LOTS of shop photos. Â So for my stash report….
Used this Week: Â 0
Used year to Date: Â 112 yards
Added this Week: Â Â 4.5 yards
Added Year to Date: Â Â 57 yards
Net Used for 2011:  55 Yards of store bought fabric…2.5 yards of recycled fabric.
My numbers had looked a bit better before….I best get sewing. Â To see more stash reports, head on over to Patchwork Times.
If I’m ever nearby I will have to visit this store. Your purchases are so pretty!
Very focused buying is hard to do, so great job with that. Stash numbers look great too!
It does help to stay project focused in the quilt shop. So easy to buy stuff we don’t know what to do with. Your numbers used look great. You always have lots of fun projects in the works.
Nice job! Nice restraint – That is very hard!!
