I was short some binding fabric for a deadline quilt so I quickly hoped on the internet to find some teal Bella Solid. Â I found myself at Missouri Star Quilt Company. Â They had my teal…they also had a charm pack for $1.88 (who can resist?)
Then while I was there I remembered a video that Jenny did a long time ago on doing a scalloped border on a quilt. Â Well making a scalloped border on a quilt is something I have VERY much wanted to do. Â So I found myself looking and hunting around their site and I found the ruler….
Well being I was already paying shipping….why not throw one in the cart…right?? Â RIGHT!!
Now I just need to find time to design a quilt that would support a scalloped border. Â Now at least if the mood strikes me, I can give it a try. Â I love having the tutorial and the same ruler…it gives me a little more confidence to give it a try.
This week we did have a finish. Â If you missed it you can see it here.
Used this Week: Â 0 yards
Used year to Date:  28 yards store bought +  15 Moda fabric + 5 yards of recycled fabric…
Today I am hooking up with Patchwork Times.
Hi Jo, I was reading old posts about the viking megaquilter and next generation frame, and yours popped up. I have had this frame in a box for about 5 years, and I have the megaquilter which I finally started using and love. Great for piecing. anyhow, my husband is finally getting around to finishing the basement and I had almost given up on even trying it, knowing the newer systems are so much better. We decided we would at least take it out of the box and try it. Please tell me, is it worth the trouble of setting it up? I wish I had the money for a new longarm machine and frame but that will be a while! Thanks, Julie
I have been shopping at MSQC for years now! I love the precuts and yes always usually find something else to throw in the cart! For $5 shipping, why not!!
