Well, I am adding a few more pieces to my stash, all courtesy of the local thrift and Goodwill stores.
It’s nothing fancy but usable I hope.
The big chunk in 5 1/2 yards so I’m hoping it might work for a back for the recycled shirt quilt. Â The pink roses is actually vintage fabric. Â It’s only 36″ wide but there’s 2 yards worth. Â The pink is flannel and 1 1/4 yards worth. Â I thought it might make a girls baby quilt back…I think I’ll be passing it along to Michelle at Michelle’s Romantic Tangle. Â She makes lots of baby quilts for neo-natal babies so I think she might be able to use that.
Total cost…$6.50. Â I’ll take that as a good day.
When I got to the thrift store I was sure there wouldn’t be any fabric for me as there was a fellow quilter there…but either I got there first or she had passed on the goodies.
I can’t believe it’s already mid month and I have no fabric out to report….that Double Wedding Ring quilt really has me wrapped up. Â Next week I’ll have some to share though…I got my January UFO off the quilt machine and just need to bind it.
Here’s the stash report numbers.
Used this Week: Â 0 yards
Used year to Date:  0 yards store bought +  0 Moda fabric + 0 yards of recycled fabric…
My adds this week came from the thrift shop too. You can’t beat $1/yard.
Those were some great finds!
Lucky you with your finds this week. I have never had any luck at thrift stores. Not even with vintage sheets. I have found some fun men’s shirts that I deconstructed.
