This is an easy one…nothing in..nothing out.
I know many of you are cleaning up your sewing room and putting things away from Bonnie Hunter’s Celtic Solstice Mystery. Â I also know that some of you were lamenting about wanting to start Bonnie’s scrap users system. Â Now is the perfect time!! Â As I am cleaning up I am cut the left over fabric that is smaller than 1/4 yard into strips for my scrap users system.
While I was cutting, I decided to pull out a few other pieces and strip them down too. Â I have new fresh fabric for my scrap bins and all the fabric fits into my storage much better.
You can find information on Bonnie’s Scrap Users system here.
Used this Week: Â 0 yards
Used year to Date:  0 yards store bought +  0 Moda fabric + 0 yards of recycled fabric…
I have been trying to follow Bonnie’s instruction for some time now…but haven’t had the time to sort it out better. Right now I have things sorted by size and then I will cut them according to what is the biggest..a square piece (like 5×5″) or a strip with various widths. And I like her way of color sorting better then my way of size sorting to so I am planning on revamping my stash so as I can.
I use a modified Bonnie Hunter scrap saving system too. My problem is that I don’t have enough bins/drawers to sort them down to all the strips/squres by size, color, and lights and darks. It is an ongoing projects to keep the clutter at bay.
I always love to see your stash report posts! Maybe I should start doing that.
