Yesterday I was busy working on my quilt for the Firemen’s Fundraiser. I was happily sewing the checker board sashing when it was time to go to town. I am revamping the pattern and making it larger so I have no idea how much fabric I need.
Then to make it worse, rather than measure how much fabric I had in the first place, I just grabbed fabric and started cutting. I am a ways along in making the sashing but I was beginning to think I wouldn’t have enough black.
Being town is 30 minutes away and I had an errand there anyway, I bought two yards of black Kona. That makes the following adjustments to my stash report.
Used this Week: 0 yard
Used year to Date: 0 yards
Added this Week: 2 yards
Added Year to Date: 21.5 yards
Gifted to others: 0 yards
Gifted to me: Moda fabric 12 yards
Net Used for 2012: -2.5 Yards of store bought fabric…5 yards of recycled fabric…0 yards gifted.

Your checkerboard is really pretty and sets the block off nicely.
Love your block sashing, really sets off the block.
