Another Sunday and another stash report…and again, I bought fabric. Â I blame this all on Bonnie Hunter and the Celtic Solstice Mystery. Â I was completely out of yellow.
I know..that doesn’t explain the fabric on the right…Don’t you love the print on the top of that pile?? Â I sure do!! Â I am really tempted to order more of it for the backing of a quilt. Â It’s all from the online shop, Whittles Fabrics. Â It was all $5 a yard.
It doesn’t explain this pile either.
Whittles has an amazing little secret…their fat quarter bundles. Â I got TEN fat quarters for $12. Â Great deal right?? Â Only problem, you can’t pick the prints-just the color family. Â If you want to indulge, here’s the link. Â The big chunk is backing fabric. Â I have quite a pile of quilts that need backs and I liked this print.
I did manage to use up fabric this week. Â I have the binding fabric for Kalissa’s quilt….
Used this Week: Â .5 yards
Used year to Date:  192 yards store bought +  49.5 Moda fabric + 43.5 yards of recycled fabric…
Oh..I am so close to 200 yards. Â If I finished up a quilt before the new year I’d make it….that just might have to be a challenge.
You can read about Kalissa’s and my thought on continuing education here.
Jo, I hope you find a way to get to 200! As you say you are so close… I’m always hesitant to “just pick a color” but your green collection is really nice. Happy New Year… Sandi
Trying to resist clicking and checking out the fabrics. We just visited the LQS yesterday and picked up a bunch. After declaring emphatically I didn’t need any more fabric for a while.
OH I have some of that! it’s a nice fabric to sew with too!
