I had to laugh when I read a note from a blog reader the other day. It said, Jo-my friend just took three big boxes of fabric in and donated them to the thrift store. As tempted as I was to run and see if they were out and on the sales floor, I didn’t. (Thanks for the heads up though)
I did end up going to the thrift store later in the week and came home with a grab bag of fabric for $3.50.
As soon as I got home I started sorting. One pile for the ladies at church who quilt for missions-One pile of larger pieces that go into my stash-One pile with batiks for the batik basket-One pile of bright crumbs and one pile of darker crumbs..and one pile for Maverick Stars. I just love these little fabric bundles. Honestly, scraps just make me smile. It makes me feel good that I can help out the church ladies too. They are always in need of fabric.
Here’s the stash report….
