When we were out and about I picked up some black fabric for my Rectangle Wrangle quilt. This is a UFO that got cut out while I was cutting out another recycled shirt quilt and then the project just sat.
Well…It really is only partly cut out. I don’t have the stars around the outer border cut out. Every since I quilted Cindy’s version of the quilt, I’ve been itching to pull out mine. Once I did, I saw that I didn’t have the black that I needed….well now I do.
That pattern is a Bonnie Hunter pattern and can be found in Scraps & Shirttails II: Continuing the Art of Quilting Green.
Does that mean I moved it up on the UFO list…no. I am putting my things on hold until I get the double wedding ring quilt finished…but it is nice to at least have the fabric purchased. Once I am ready I can sew, sew, sew!
This week I finished my Labor Day Madness quilt. You can see that here if you missed it.
Used this Week: 12 store bought
Used year to Date: 100.5 yards store bought + 40.5 Moda fabric + 38.5 yards of recycled fabric…

Hi Jo, I love this quilt pattern. I made it up with red where the black is. It’s so simple but so effective.
Happy quilting
Regards from rainy England.

I like your Labor Day Madness quilt!
Love the Labor Day quilt. I have a stack of the same blocks waiting for me in the UFO pile!
Oh wow that looks like a challenging pattern…so many seams! I had to buy black this week too.
