Stash Report

This should have published a couple weeks ago, but somehow didn’t.  I think I accidentally saved it as a draft and didn’t put a publication date on it.  Here’s the post now…

Well remember when Connie and I stopped at Pine Needles in Rochester when I had doctor appointments….

Well I bought a couple of things.  I’ve been on a fabric diet but Marsha who owns the store with her daughter, sent me a gift card when Kramer passed away.  It was so sweet of her.  You might remember me telling you that Kramer worked for Marsha’s dad and husband for a year when we lived in Chester, Iowa.  In the card Marsh wrote that she knows I do a lot of charity quilting things and I made quilts out of scraps you all send me and she wanted to treat me.

As Connie I am I were shopping, I was almost overwhelmed with all the selections knowing I had a gift card in my purse.  I could pick anything.  Usually when I go in stores I am trying to be super conservative.  HA!!

Anyway..here is what I picked……
I know…so typical me.  PRACTICAL things.

Remember I have Hawaiian Sunset as one of the quilts on my UFO list?
This one….

Well it’s been a long term UFO.  I’ve stolen fabric from what I’ve had laid aside for it.  I bought some to replace it early this year but I didn’t really buy enough.  So that’s why the more fabric in greens, yellows and pinks.  If you’re thinking about sewing this with me when that number is picked, you might want to pick up some fabric.  You can call and ask for it.  The line is
Nancy’s Needles by Betsy Chutchian for Moda.

Just ask for the yellows, pinks and greens.  I got 1/4 yard cuts…you know me, even when I have a gift card to burn, I’m still pretty conservative.

I also got some mini scissors.  I’m putting them in my cross stitch project bags.  The hand sanitizer is for my purse and the ribbon that looks like a tape measure.  I have no idea what I’m doing with that.  It might be a incorporated into a project one day.

Connie and I had fun roaming the store.  We are anxious to visit again when they get moved to the new store…I have some left of my gift card so I might have to finish using it then.  Oh the possibilities!!

Thanks again Marsha and crew for giving us something fun to do that morning….quilt shopping is a great stress relief after doctor appointments!!

  1. Ji: you shared the one of your friend but not goodies. I am always looking for the “measuring” tape. Enjoy your goodies.

  2. Thanks for the fabric recommendation. I will order some and then match up with fabric from my stash. I always like your color combinations and I was uncertain about the colors for this quilt.
