I was thrifting…SURPRISE ( I know it’s not a surprise at all). These goodies actually came from two different thrift stores. One rarely has fabric but the last two times I was there they had fabric!! The other regularly has fabric.
The little bundle was okay. I pulled what I wanted…everything in the bottom of the photo and will ship the things in the top of the photo on to charity.
This fabric was kind of fun. I remember seeing it in the early 90s. I’m pretty sure I had some. It’s little feed sacks, see?
I grabbed this with the thought that I’d probably make our grand daughter Lucy a pair of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls next year for her birthday.Â
I couldn’t resist this piece. It says 5+ yards for $4. I measured it and it’s actually just under 6 yards. Yahoo!! That will back a quilt!!
I got this piece for 50 cents. It has the edges turned over and sewn down. I have no idea why someone did this or what their plan was for the fabric…all I know is I have a project that this might be used on. Watch for a later update on this one!
None of the fabric was fancy but it was all interesting….and cheap. I’ll use it up or pass it on. I feel really good about it all.
My mother used to hem fabric pieces and then use them as tablecloths.
You are amazing! How do you get so much accomplished while providing child care out of your home?!!
