I hadn’t had very good luck at the thrift stores recently. I’ve been in town more than usual and there just hasn’t been much. Then one day I went came up with this.
Not much for fabric but other fun things.
Thread… 25 cents a spool. There was a lot more but I only took these. I always have trouble finding the “right” red when binding a quilt and I often bind in red. These extra options should be helpful.
In the Ziplock bag were these things….
The things were things I don’t normally find. I loved the big strawberry pincushion.
On the far right is a threader, at least it’s what I’m guessing it is…
I’m not sure what this is…I think maybe a needle puller. What do you think?
This one gave me a laugh!! At the top is says Dritz 5-Way Sewing Tool. I opened it up. On the left if says “threader” at the top and there’s a threader…on the right a knife.
I flipped it over and extended the sliders…stitch pick on one side…piercer on the other. Â
Hmm…I thought to myself…that’s only four tools. That’s the fifth…. I looked at it and then looked again. DUH! The ruler part.
Oh my word. It was one of those days. Please tell me this doesn’t happen to only me.
So…that’s my stash report…by the way, the fabric was a yard’s worth and was 50 cents. Pretty good deal I’d say.
Lots of presents for yourself there.
The one on the far right looks like a knit picker for pulling snags through to the back of sweaters. On the far left you have a compass for drawing circles and it’s not one of those cheap ones used in high school geometry!
Talk about one of those days … Last Thursday I was visiting the Kwik Trip before work for my usual Pumpkin Spice coffee. I take a thermos and get a refill. I pulled the handle to the spout and started to fill my thermos and then realized that I had not taken the top off the thermos. That’s when I knew I really needed the coffee!
