I’m a little unorganized. I have lots of irons in the fire and I wish I was doing a little better on keeping it all organized. I ended up at Whittles Fabrics online. I was looking for backing for two of my quilts.
Cheddar Bow Ties needs a backing….
and this scrap quilt needs a backing….
Sorry I can’t show you more of this now. It’s something Kelli and I put together that we hope to submit. It’s a totally scrappy quilt. If you’re looking to put a dent in your scraps, this one will do it.
Anyway, I love Whittles great selection of fabrics that are resonably priced and perfect for backing my quilts that are made from primarily Civil War Reproduction prints. Here’s what I ended up selecting.
The brown stripe is going on the Cheddar Bow Ties quilt…at least that was my thought as of now.
I’m hoping to get these two sewn up into backs and get one of the quilts loaded onto the frame. Logic is that I should probably do the quilt we want to submit first but my want is WAY towards doing Cheddar Bow Ties. I keep telling myself that when the new year rolls around I’ll need to do an updated UFO report. I had six finished in my last report. I was hoping for six more to be finished. I have to machine quilt them or I can’t count them as finished. How’s that for motivation? It’s all I need!!
What do you do with all of your quilts? You are a quilting fool, one after the other! And that is a complement!
Can’t wait to see the scrappy one. . .I need several dents put in my stash. I was gifted 2 totes and 2 boxes yesterday from an estate. So excited to dig in and make something with them!
Those are some great backing fabrics, I need to make a trip to Whittles, its in my back yard and I have yet to be there. I think I will do some shopping online with Quilted Twins and then check them out also. You are making great progress on you UFO list.
