Stash Report

Lookie…I finished my other Quilt Square Quilt Along Block.

Hubby says this one if his favorite so far…I think I might agree.  The colors blend so well.  I used a flannel for the batting on this one too and loved it as well.  If you missed my other finished block you can see it here.

I am working on my block for next month….the days are flying by and before I know it, September will be here.

  1. You said it! I know school has already started for you, but Wisconsin can’t start before September 1st (crazy law, huh?) And tick-tock-tick-tock; RIGHT around the corner.

I followed one of the “you might also like:” links and it too me to your July 18th post on applique. I was thinking the same thing Debbie B (Ithink that was her name) said in the comments. IF I need to applique, the only method I have found to get me through it is using fusible web. Cut to shape, iron in place and use a blanket-stitch around it. I simply can’t manage the needle-turn method. nope, nope, nope. (I’m writing all of this here, because for some reason, I couldn’t leave a comment on that post).

BUT HEY! ANYONE who is willing to take on Bonnie’s Pineapple INSANITY quilt (that’s what **I** call it!)… is truly an amazing quilter. That one scares me; so much paper-piecing.
You obviously found some peace with applique because the block turned out GREAT. A+!

  2. I love this block! Of course it is not the one I made! lol I was in a bit of a hurry this month so no appliqué. But in a couple of months, I may have to revisit this pattern. ~Jeanne

Great block. I think I will try the flannel on the back too. Does this mean you do or don’t add batting? I think I would like batting?
