I finally got to the thrift store. I’ve been wanting to get there but don’t much now since I’ve been providing in home childcare. I happen to have hit a good day. I found fabric!!
I got this little stack of scraps….More Frozen fabric to go with what I have and some great prints. The reds are 1/2 yard cuts…all fabric totaled $3.50.
Some vintage quilt magazines….The sticker says 25 cents but that’s a garage sale sticker. I only pay 10 cents each. I love old magazines.
I also found this pile of yardsticks for Hubby. We’ve both seen a few Pinterest ideas that use them and have always wondered how the people collected so many. Well we have enough for a project now.
I scored a few other things too. A shelving unit for Kelli and some Carhart bibs for our son Buck. A toy highchair and a couple books for the kiddos. I even picked up three pairs of $2 snow pants for the kiddos. Parents keep forgetting them so I’m hoping one day we’ll all have boots AND snow pants so we can go out.
I bought a bag STUFFED full of clothes. When I got home Kelli and I played dress up. It was so much fun.
It was one of my best thrifting day in a long-long time. Color me HAPPY!!
Today we’re hooking up with Patchwork Times.
What fun finds! Our thrift stores never have quilty/fabric stuff! Enjoy your haul!! :)
A long time ago, I made a paper pieced schoolhouse and the ruler that you bought was the hanger. It made such a nice gift to someone with an older style house. A lot of people buy thrift stuff and leave it around like more clutter….sounds like you and your family have the drive to use up stuff. Congrats and good luck. I read your blog every day and enjoy!
Nice haul! Thrift/consignment shops here seldom have fabric or anything sewing related. Goodwill doesn’t either.
I heard your “SCORE!” up here in Canada!! Job well done! There is NOTHING like a good day thrifting…except for maybe a good day Garage Saling! :o))
Sounds like fun. The nearest thrift store to me has mostly dishes and stuff. Haven’t ever seen any fabric there.
I had (or maybe still have) that first magazine on your stack. I like to sit and look through the old ones too.
