Oh my…
What happens when I take a day off blogging?? Â Kelli takes over the blog and has all of you making birthday blocks for me. Â That girl..I love her and the thought is wonderful and appreciated.
I bought my own fabric. Â I know surprising. Â Most of my fabric anymore come from blog readers and I buy little.
I was with our daughters Kelli and Kayla last weekend when we stopped at LouAnn’s in Oelwein. Â Well who can go to a quilt shop and not buy at least a little bit of fabric.?? Â Not me.
The turquoise is a bigger chunk. Â I have that set aside for a project that I haven’t gotten to. Â I previously had a chunk of it but then used it for something so I had to replace it. Â There are some white based cuts to add to my collection of prints. Â All these happen to have POLKA DOTS!! Â They are by far my favorite print of fabric. Â Kelli rolls her eyes when I express my love of polka dots…but honestly, polka dots simply make me smile!
The black and the golds are for Bonnie Hunter’s mystery quilt. Â I don’t have much of either color…blacks I’ve never had and the golds I used up in previous mysteries. Â I’m happy to add them and already know I’ll need more of each. Â I’m using Civil War reproductions…again.
That’s what’s new here on the fabric collection. Â To see what others are doing with their fabric check out Patchwork Times.
I share your love of polka dots! I can hardly walk away from anything polka dot in cotton. They are so happy! I even buy white-on-white polka dots. I especially love the multi-colored polka dot fabric in your recent purchase.
