Stash Report…

Just before the quilt retreat a big box of fabric came in my mail.  At the time I opened it, oh-ed and aw-ed and then it got put on the dining room table.  I loved the fabric but didn’t have time to dig in sort and admire to the full extend…you know, real fabric petting.

All of this was in the box.  It’s all perfectly folded and much in grouped with like colors.  I am in awe!

I showed it to Kelli and she started in on fabric petting two.

We both immediately pulled the piece of fabric that is under the card.  It’s a Kim Diehl fabric.  We know that because we already made a quilt using it.

We haven’t said a lot yet but we are working with C&T Publishing and other authors putting out a compilation book that will be out this fall.  We are really excited about it.  Our feature quilt uses Kim Diehl fabric including this very print.  How fun is that??

We have LOTS of other left overs from that quilt and this will go with those.

The charm pack is Aster House, a line we’ve used already.  Some time ago I made and gifted a wedding quilt with the fabric line.  I just might save this charm pack in case the couple has a baby girl.  Wouldn’t it be cute to make a baby quilt from the same fabric line??

Anyway…thanks so much for the goodies Lisa W.  As  you can see the fabrics have me thinking and making plans.  I got a great fabric petting fix…and will have another with the very same fabrics once I can put them all away.  THANKS>>thanks!!

  1. Jo and Kelli, I really like your “Midnight Hour” pattern in the October issue of AmP&Q. 1..5″ postage stamps are my current leaders-and-enders. You’ve shown a good way to use them.
