My stash is multiplying and I don’t mind a bit!! Â In fact, Kelli and I have started throwing around ideas about firing up the sewing machines and sewing like made women again. Â It was nice to have a break but you know us…we like irons in the fire. Â We’ve debated about making solid quilts, scrappy quilts, and even patriotic quilts. Â One thing we know, we want to include more scrappy ones.
With all the great fabric all my blog readers send, you can bet we have a great supply to make scrappy quilts!!
This little bundle of goodness came from Renee. Â She writes to use the fabric in charity quilts of “whatever”. Â For a long time I kept all the charity quilt fabric separate from “my” fabric. Â It just got too hard. Â Then I realized that it was likely okay that I mix it.
If I needed the right fabric for a binding or for the blocks, I’d just swap fabric out anyway.
Besides, Kelli and I are always donating for charity projects….We just sent our “Oink a Doodle Moo quilt” out for a charity benefit for a little boy..that was all our fabric. Â We pull from lots of places to make sure as many can benefit from our (and your) projects or quilt machine work as possible. Â We sent another for a charity benefit for the local Humane Society-and one to the local college to help college students who end up in a tight situation. Â Those three quilts all went out in the last 6 weeks.
Thanks so much for thinking of us Renee. Â We love scraps that come our way!!
