I thought I would have nothing to report this week except for a tiny bit. Â Kelli was home this weekend and we needed to come up with a block submission for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks issue for the fall. Â I still don’t have all my fabric sorted and put away so fabric picking was challenging. Â Kelli saw a bag of 100% cotton shirts there so said, “Hey it looks like our submission is going to be from shirts”. Â At this point, easy is good!! Â That didn’t take up many scraps at all.
Karl was home this weekend too. Â He came with gifts from a friend of mine.
She was cleaning out her fabric and thought of me…I love that!! Â Gifted fabric is ALWAYS my favorite. Â My Hubby has a philosophy that the best beer is free and cold. Â My philosophy is the best fabric is cheap or free!!
This chunk is my favorite. Â It’s vintage and just might have the potential to become the curtains in my kitchen. Â Isn’t it cute?? Â There will be some measuring happening soon to see if there is enough. Â Cute-CUTE!! Â THANKS Theresa!
I’m not sure what’s happening with the rest….I need to measure it all out. Â One piece has enough for a bigger project-I think- but I don’t have it measured out yet.
I am off to test out the quilting machine. Â Hubby got it set up-I have a quilt loaded and tacked down. Â That’s as far as I got before I remembered that I didn’t write a stash report post yet. Â Wish me luck…it’s been so long I wonder if I even remember how!?!
Today I am hooking up with Patchwork Times.
Going to have some cute cute curtains in your kitchen, I like it
You got some nice fabric additions. I hope there is enough fabric to get your curtains made.
What fun to get some “free” gifted fabric. I too think that is lots of fun. It’s nice to be able to look in a quilt and remember who gave you which pieces. Have fun with your kitchen curtains.
