Stash Report

I spent most of Saturday sewing and sewing like crazy.  I got lots done..I even have progress to show on my leader and ender project!

This is Troops in Formation from Country Threads.  I have seven blocks completely finished and ten more that just need one more seam sewn.  I did these while I was working on my next Moda Bake Shop quilt….I so love leaders and enders.  Speaking of leader and enders, did you see Bonnie Hunter’s newest book that will be out July??   I am in love and ordered it right away!!  I have a few of the quilts already made but that’s okay…there are plenty more I’d love to make.

This week on the fabric movement….nothing in…a little something out..my string star baby quilt.

I got lots more sewn on other project but that I show you that tomorrow…

So my official numbers are…

Used this Week:   3  yards
Used year to Date:   46  yards

Added this Week:    0 yards
Added Year to Date:    33.5  yards (12 from Moda)

Net Used for 2012: 12 .5 Yards of store bought fabric…14 yards of recycled fabric…

  1. I’m so blasted proud of myself…my longtime quilting project finally got quilted yesterday! It sure helps when you have access to a machine that can handle quilting easily, unlike my cheapy Singer I used for the piecing. I put the binding on this morning, and am going to finish out the binding by hand. (I find handsewing binding to be relaxing…or maybe I’m crazy!) This quilt is my first queen-size I’ve ever attempted, and the first to be quilted, as opposed to tied.

  2. I love your baby quilt. I might have to make one like it with my strings. I so love to make scrap quilts. About what size does it finish? Did you use a pattern for the star points?
