When Kelli and I went down to visit with the Cable Car Quilters in Dubuque we ended up meandering our way there and stopped in Independence. Â There’s a big quilt shop there, called Quilter’s Quarters. Â We don’t get there often but do enjoy a chance to go when we can.
We had a mission when we went. Â We were looking for Kim Diehl fabric. Â I had mentioned earlier that we are working on a new compilation book and our project needs fat quarters of Kim Diehl’s fabrics. Â We were lucky and found some. Â We also found that the shop is doing her monthly “Whatnots Club”. Â Oh it was tempting not to jump on that band wagon. Â The projects were CUTE!
Anyway we found the fabric we needed….then I proceeded to find some fabric that I wanted.
I’ve started collecting white fabrics with fun colored accents. Â Do I know what I’m going to do with them?? Â NOPE. Â For not it’s just a collection.
Of course Kelli took a stab at teasing me wondering what I was planning. Â Honestly, can’t a girl just collect fabric?!?!?
They are all just quarter yard cuts…but they just scream fun and happy to me!
I have to laugh though….how does my taste range from these fun little printed whites to Civil War prints. Â Honestly as long as it’s fabric, I typically like it.
I’ll have to say, I would LOVE to do the Kim Diehl’s Whatnots Club for a year. Â I could use all those little beauties I’d create to decorate the house in town…oh temptation you are so sweet!! Â See..tempting right??
We didn’t have any fabric out this week. Â It’s been busy with the house and I haven’t gotten to the quilting machine.
Used this Week: 0 Â yards
Used year to Date:  35 yards store bought +  133 gifted fabric + 67 yards of recycled/thrifted fabric…

I’ve started collecting those too and I have no idea what I’m going to do with them, but I’m blaming it on Bonnie Hunter. :)
You should check out Merry’s Sitchins north of Jesup and southwest of Littleton. She has Kim Deihl clubs and LOTS of samples. She is on facebook also.
I too have been eyeing this club!
