Stash Report

When Kelli and I went down to visit with the Cable Car Quilters in Dubuque we ended up meandering our way there and stopped in Independence.  There’s a big quilt shop there, called Quilter’s Quarters.  We don’t get there often but do enjoy a chance to go when we can.

We had a mission when we went.  We were looking for Kim Diehl fabric.  I had mentioned earlier that we are working on a new compilation book and our project needs fat quarters of Kim Diehl’s fabrics.  We were lucky and found some.  We also found that the shop is doing her monthly “Whatnots Club”.  Oh it was tempting not to jump on that band wagon.  The projects were CUTE!

Anyway we found the fabric we needed….then I proceeded to find some fabric that I wanted.

I’ve started collecting white fabrics with fun colored accents.  Do I know what I’m going to do with them??  NOPE.  For not it’s just a collection.

Of course Kelli took a stab at teasing me wondering what I was planning.  Honestly, can’t a girl just collect fabric?!?!?

They are all just quarter yard cuts…but they just scream fun and happy to me!

I have to laugh though….how does my taste range from these fun little printed whites to Civil War prints.  Honestly as long as it’s fabric, I typically like it.

I’ll have to say, I would LOVE to do the Kim Diehl’s Whatnots Club for a year.  I could use all those little beauties I’d create to decorate the house in town…oh temptation you are so sweet!!  See..tempting right??

We didn’t have any fabric out this week.  It’s been busy with the house and I haven’t gotten to the quilting machine.

Used this Week: 0  yards

Used year to Date:  35 yards store bought +  133 gifted fabric + 67 yards of recycled/thrifted fabric…
