Awhile back I made a batch of homemade stain remover using this recipe from One Good Thing by Jillee. I finally had a good reason to use it…a stain on my favorite blouse. It was a stain from an oil that was the dressing on a salad I was eating in the car.
I sent the blouse through the washer and dryer using an Oxi-clean stain stick…No luck. The stain was still there. I sent the blouse through the wash using the homemade stain remover….GONE!! I am so happy. This is honestly on of my favorite pieces of clothing and I would have hated to loose it.
When this batch is gone, I will definitely be making another batch.
PS. I wrote this original post a month ago but never published it. Since then I have continued using this and have continued to love it.
Well I for one and going to give this a whirl! I guess you’ve had good luck on farm stains as well? The things that I try to get clean around here! And now that the kids are gone, it’s hubby’s clothes! :) Thank you for sharing this – I’ll be keeping up with her blog too – looks good.

Thanks for sharing this site with us! Also glad to see how little Ruby is growing into a “lovely lady”. We have 4 Shih Tzu, so we always have something to do with them in residence!
Thanks for the tip! I am always so frustrated with grease stains on favorite wearables. I can understand why this concoction works, for Dawn is known for cutting grease. I am going to make some!
I used her instructions on how to clean my dishwasher – worked wonderfully.
