We rarely go out for pizza because I make a pretty awesome homemade pizza.
I’ve been working on perfecting pizza for MANY years.  The crust is from my ratio bread recipe that you can find  here.
Today I made bacon cheeseburger. Â I fry up some bacon pieces along with hamburger. Â I add a combo of ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar to make a BBQ sauce. Â Once the dough is rolled out a spread just a bit of BBQ sauce over the crust. Â Then I add the meat and then the cheese. Â I bake it in a 425 degree oven until golden.
For years…that is where the recipe ended….Not anymore. Â Now when the pizza comes out of the oven we spread butter over the crust. Â That makes it perfect….sometimes, just little things like butter on the crust really make a good recipe perfect. Â Please leave a comment and let us know if there is just a little tip that you have that you could share with us.
I like to put olive oil on the crust. Butter sounds wonderful too! Thanks for sharing (the recipe that is).
I don’t have a tip for you, just wanted to let you know that that pizza looks great. Now I’m hungry for pizza. If I ever get my oven fixed, that might be one of the first things I make. Thanks for sharing.
If you want to try something a bit different, Craftsy has a free class online about perfecting pizza. It’s neat!
What a tip from ME? And wreck your wonderful pizza? NEVER!! Looks delicious!

I make most of our meals from scratch, too. We’d have to drive 60 miles just to get a pizza! I often add a bit of basil and garlic powder to my dough when I am mixing it up. I also cheat and buy the precooked bacon crumbles that I can buy at Sam’s. Bacon Cheeseburger is one of our favorites!
Butter and slice open a garlic clove and rub it all over. makes it to die for =)
