Last summer, Pine Needles Quilt Shop moved from Cresco to Decorah, Iowa. They had a huge sale. I bought a pack brightly colored fireman themed fat quarters for for $27.00….as far as fabric goes, it was a steal of a price. I used those fat quarters to make this quilt.
The pattern is an Atkinson Design Pattern called slide show. It’s a VERY easy pattern and went together very quickly. My quilt is the twin size version.
I used white thread with a flame design as the quilting pattern.
The backing fabric was clearanced from the quilt shop too….I only had five yards so I pieced the back together.
The quilt will be donated for a benefit.
I bought another fat quarter pack of the same fabric so watch the blog for another quilt in this fabric sometime in the future….
Now I can check another item off my Joy in the New Year Challenge!!
It looks great. I love your back.
