Sh…don’t tell Kelli

Remember Kelli and I were working on our Perkiomen Daydreams quilts.  Remember our “rule” was that Kelli and I were only going to work on them together….  Well I decided that I was going to break the rule.

In my defense:  We’ve been sewing the strips at my house and the strips are EVERYWHERE.  I am ready to have a cleaned up looking area…and the whole truth now…I am addicted to sewing the things.  It’s great mindless sewing that has been super relaxing in the hustle and bustle days I’ve been experiencing lately.  This box is full of strips.  We now have all of the ones, twos and three strip sets sewn.

Strips

I am working hard on the number five strip sets too.

I’ve been sewing them as leader and enders-plus a little more.  Honestly, I’ve been sneaking a strip set or two whenever I can.  Yep…I’ve become an addict.  I hope my enthusiasm sticks around once it comes time to sew the strips in to blocks.

I have a feeling that the next time Kelli is home, she’ll have worked on the quilt too.  We’re both addicted.  I’ll keep you posted.

  1. I did a postage stamp quilt with 1.5 inch strips and the block part was even more addictive than the strips. Seeing all of those little squares lining up is the most fun of all. Isn’t it great when a project calls you to work on it?

  2. I absolutely love the leader ender way piece!! Its unbelievable how much you get sewn like that. I already have half of the strips sewn for a king size for my bed. I want to try a perkiomen quilt also. Wish me luck.

  3. sounds like a lot of fun making this quilt and I can see why you need to keep working on it
I can’t wait to see the progress you have made and of course the finsihed quilt top!!!!
