Hello and if you’re new here, welcome! Â Today as part of Sew, Mama, Sew’s giveaway, I have up for grabs a copy of “Word Play Quilts” by Tonya Ricucci.
I have made good use of my copy of the book and thought someone else might like it as well.
I Â have made TWO quilts that were inspired by the book…Here is the first project here
…and the second here. Â Ideas and tutorials to make either of the quilts can be found here.
The book is fun and gives lots of ideas for whimsical fun projects.  I was especially excited because I could personalize my daughter’s quilt….she always wanted things with her name on them, but when you name your daughter “Kalissa” (sounds like Melissa) it just doesn’t happen.  Kalissa is our youngest of five kids and will be starting her senior year in the fall.
If you’re new here you might want to check out a wonderful recipe I recently posted for Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole (several people have tried it and were impressed), see my new baby chicks, see the latest book I read, or hear the latest about the planting season here.  Oh…and don’t forget to check out my latest quilt finish…and my latest quilting blunder…and the quilt projects I am working on now.  There is always something happening here.  I add a new post daily so there’s always something fresh to read, see or learn about.  If you are a giveaway lover, make sure to come by each Tuesday when I have a “Try it on Tuesday” post (I’m trying a new quilt book this week!).  Typically I try out new quilting books, gadgets or goodies and then host a giveaway and give them to my readers.  It’s fun!
I am not a stickler about rules and all of that…I am a easy come, easy go kind of girl. Â I don’t make people become a follower or like me on Facebook but oh my, you sure can. Â I’ll pick a winner next Tuesday which is the 29th..If you want a chance to win, Â just tell me how you got to my site…are you a current reader or are you from Sew, Mama, Sew! or did you stumble across my blog some other way. Â Oh, I’ll ship international…I love friends from across the water or across the border.

I found you from Confessions of a Fabric Addict (Sarah’s blog). I have a copy of this book and I have two projects in mind to make already – one big, one small. Since I already own it I don’t need another one, but I still had to comment to say how beautiful your quilts are!

Sweet giveaway – Tonya’s letter projects are adorable. I’ve done several quilts with words on them – one was a donation quilt to raise money for a band trip – it read, along the bottom, “Music hath charms” .. and another one had a combo of the names of the couple of that were getting married — Brannifer, LOL.
I came from SMS. That book looks fun, and I agree, kids love stuff with their names on it!

I check your blog 2 or more times a day. Just love reading what you and your daughter are making. You inspire me.
Oh, I am definitely a reader/follower. I have been around at least long enough to have my own crumb quilt! I would love to make my son his own quilt filled with the words he identifies with the most. It would be a fun snap shot of his life as a preteen. Then maybe he would stop insinuating that the crumb quilt should be his!
found you on Judy’s patchwork times blog.
I found you through MBS.
