If you’ve read my blog, you know that I am ALWAYS making Schnibble patterns from Miss Rosie’s Quilt Company. This day is no different.
I am working on the pattern Winter White. I know…very little about this quilt looks Winter White. I started the Year of Schnibbles two months late and didn’t make the first two quilts when everyone else did. I went back and made Cindy Lou Who….now, I am gonig back and making Winter White.
I am using my left over fabric from the quilt I made for the lasts fireman’s benefit. This quilt is suppose to finish at 34 x34″ but I want mine bigger…at least 40 x 40 so I can use it as a baby boy quilt. I have PLENTY of the blue fabric and PLENTYY of the black fabric to use either as the second border, but of course, I am having trouble deciding which to go with. I also debated about just going with a solid blue or black as that outside border.
Feel free to leave any advice. I love reading all of your comments and suggestions…..Right now, I think I will bind it in the same color as the outside border and back it with the yellow fabric. What do you think?
Thin yellow border, thick black border, and bind it in yellow….
Sounds like a good idea…
Hi Jo~thin yellow border, thicker blue border and then bind it in yellow. I think for a baby quilt the black is a little much for the border. Very cute quilt-I love reading your blog everyday-say hit to Gracie-that last picture of her sitting on that quilt was so cute.
Oops-say hi, not hit, to Gracie!
I think a red border, then blue would be great!
