Salsa Last!

My tomatoes are finally ripe and it’s fresh salsa season!  Yum…Yum!

Sunday we had our first batch of fresh salsa and everyone was dipping chips like crazy.  It’s funny that my children say they don’t like fresh tomatoes but they eat fresh salsa by the gallons.

I used my Kitchen Plus 2000 to dice the onions and green peppers…cut the tomatoes with a knife..added salt and minced garlic and the WONDERFULNESS began!  This day I didn’t add cilantro but… I probably will in the next batch.

With the tomatoes finally ripening, I’ll soon be canning salsa too.  Oh the wonderful tastes of summer!

Thanks for the comments on the blog…
I’d love to give you a recipe but I am not good with recipes…my fresh salsa is one of those things that I make without a recipe and it varies a lot. I just start cutting up tomatoes, peppers and onions until it looks like enough to feed us. Then I add minced garlic and salt to my liking. My husband likes it hot so I take some of the salsa put it in a seperate bowl and add some tabasco sauce. Sometimes I add celantro too. I’ll send my canning salsa recipe in a blog as soon as my tomatoes ripen.
