One of the days (likely Saturday) we will be focusing on making charity quilts to share with others. We will be providing a pattern along with background fabric and will be asking you to bring either 21 jelly roll strips (2 ½” x WOF) or 21 layer cake squares (10” x 10”) in either Civil War prints, Brights, or with a Patriotic theme. They can be cut from your own fabric or be leftovers from other projects.
Kelli and I will be sewing with you too.
The retreat will be held at LouAnn’s Quilt Garden and Retreat. Here is Bonnie Hunter’s review of the location. LouAnn is a real sweetie!!
Being we aren’t holding class we’ll be able to squeeze in some other area attractions including quilt shops and the area Amish businesses for those who would like to do that.
Our retreat will be held at Lou Ann’s Quilt Garden and Retreat in Oelwein, Iowa from July 21 – 24, 2015 (4 days/3 nights). Breakfast will be included each morning along with sleeping arrangements Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Lunch and supper meals will be on your own. If you are in need of accommodations on either Wednesday or Sunday nights, they are available for an extra fee. There are a few handicapped beds available but you need to speak up right away if you need one.
