I’m doing a little series of posts that feature old blog posts. I have been going back and looking at them. It’s been fun. I started blogging in June of 2009…WOW. Over ten years. I’m so glad I’ve kept the blog as a diary of sorts…today I’m telling you about the quilts and other quilt-related things I discovered in April of 2010.
I was pretty busy back in September of 2010. I had quilted these two panel quilts for my Aunt Agnes.
I
I finished my Bubbly Quilt. This one was so fun to make. I honestly had a blast doing it. A the time I was big into using my Accuquilt Go ( I no longer have one). I used the circle dyes to cut the circles.
You can read more about it HERE. It is an easy quilt as the edges are raw applique done by machine. Â
I was busy making videos back then and I made a video on how I made this quilt. Please keep in mind that back then, I had older equipment and a not so willing helper.
It’s a really quick video but I think you get the idea. I should make one of these quilts again. It was so fun. Now with my new quilting machine, I wouldn’t use glue. I think I’d do it without anything and simply hold the circles in place.
I tried something else new on this quilt…I did my first binding by machine. You can read about my experience with that HERE.
I was busy working on a quilt along…
These blocks ended up going in the back on my Orca Bay quilt.
You can see that quilt HERE.
I used a bunch of bonus triangles I had and created this baby quilt. You can read more about this quilt HERE.
I had visited Country Threads…I did two blog posts on my visit. You can read one HERE and one HERE. Happily many of these pattern are still available to you. The house pattern has been redone and can be found on Country Threads’ blog. HERE is a link for that.
The quilt in the back has been updated too and that pattern can also be purchased as a download.
Please note there are TWO pages of patterns available from Country Threads. If you don’t see the pattern on the first page, scroll to the bottom and click to get to page two.
I made this quilt… I was CRAZY over the fabric. It is  Oz by Sanae for Moda.  I bought 2 charm packs and made this Round About Schnibble from Miss Rosie.
I made LOTS of quilts with this fabric line. I went ape over this fabric line!! In fact, three of the quilts shown in this post use it!! Crazy I know.
Here is one of the other quilts we made…There is a free pattern for this quilt HERE.
That wraps up the quilting from September of 2010. I really do love going back and reading about what I was up to then. It’s like going back and reading an old diary.
I remember the circle quilt, I think it is a genius idea, and Oz fabric like it was yesterday. Truly, it seems like it was just yesterday and not a decade ago! Oh my goodness. Lovely reminder of all the beautiful quilts you’ve made.
I am curious as to why you no longer have the Acuqui machine…..
