Quilts for West Texas-Part #5

Here are the latest quilts.  All of these are from Kay Stanek.

Ruby happen to be awake and wanted to take part in the photo shoot.

This is an old quilt top.  It was actually hand pieced.  Kay didn’t leave me a note explaining anything about it so I don’t know more than that.

4Patch
The quilt is simple but really fun.  Isn’t it amazing the power of the simple 4-patch??  I did this one LATE one night and wanted to quickly finish it.  It has just a simple meander.

The next one has charm squares in the middle.  I don’t know the design.

The colors are really nice.  That one is a meander pattern too.

As I write this, I have three more quilt to quilt and two coming in the mail.  I am not sure how many I quilted but I do know it is closer to 20 than the original 10 I committed to.  Three other quilts were sent to me.  One I asked permission to save and quilt for a Quilt of Valor.  Two others will be going to the next worthy cause.    I never ever realized that I would get that many quilts in.  Thanks to all of you who sent quilts.

  1. Thank you for all the quilting you have done on these quilts. I did not have one to send but I am so proud of what you accomplished. I love your blog and also your daughter’s input. Ruby is also a sweetie.
