Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Tour-AND GIVEAWAY!!

Are you new here or an old friend?  Welcome no matter what category you fit into…trust me, if you stick around even for a little while, you’ll soon be an old friend.

If you don’t know us we’re a mother daughter team who design some quilts and like to blog too.  We’re very regular bloggers sometimes blog once, sometimes twice a day so there is always something new and different going on from our house projects (we both moved this winter-Kelli into a house that was bought without her seeing the inside-and me into a foreclosure home we remodeled)  We are always up to something..cooking, gardening, repurposing, reading or simply just living life.

We’ve been in several of the 100 Blocks magazines.  We currently have two quilts featured in magazines on you news stand.  American Patchwork and Quilting has our “Stars and Scraps Forever” quilt.

Quiltmaker has our Strawberry Sundae quilt.

We also released our first book in February, Country Girl Modern.  To learn more about it check out this link.

Now we have our block featured in 100 blocks…it’s been a fun year for us!

So wondering what our block looks like???  Here it is- Paddle Wheel.

100 blocks

We came up with a couple simple designs using it…here’s a simple baby quilt.  Only four blog are needed to make it.  It would make a fast baby quilt.

The next is just a simple quilt made only with the blocks side by side.  I drew it up so you could see what it would look like.

We thought they both were fun and actually made up the baby quilt thinking it would be featured in the gallery of the magazine but they didn’t do that this year so you’ll have to wait to see our quilt once we get it back.  We made ours in the same colors as the block in the magazine.  It’s really cute!!

I hope you had fun stopping by and meeting me and Kelli….before you go, take time to leave a comment and let us know if you’re a new friend or an old friend.   We’ll pick a winner and send out an autographed copy of our book- (If you’d like to purchase a copy of the book or learn more about it you can do that here) along with a copy of 100 blocks.  To the second name we’ll send a current copy of 100 blocks along with a copy of any previous issues we have….Thanks for stopping by.  Remember to check out Quilty Pleasures and see where else you can hop to today.
