Did you hear? Crazy Mom Quilts is having another quilt a long. I dug through the cupboards over the weekend trying to find something in my stash that would work and I came up with this…
The fabric bundle is a of 37 sweet sixteens (1/16th of a yard fabric cuts)…I got it for $13 when a local quilt shop was having a clearance. My background is going to be the brand new 100 percent cotton sheet I found at Goodwill for $2. I measured the sheet about 3 times and tried to calculate the required yardage and have decided that I am close enough to give it a try. I am working on removing the lace from the sheet and then I’ll be ready to cut into it.
I am a bit nervous as I am not sure if this will end up being enough fabric. I think I can round up a few more scraps that will match if necessary but for now, I am just keeping my fingers crossed or my quilt just might be a bit smaller than the model…regardless, it will be a guessing game right up to the finish.
Last year I quilted a long with Crazy Mom, Amanda Jean, and ended up with these two quilts (quilt one, quilt two). They made great gifts…I am hoping this one will too.
Thanks for a great tutorial today Jo, over at Stash Manicure!
I love the fabric that you have chosen for the Quilt Along. I am thankful to know about it and have posted it on the sidebar on SM blog so others can use there stash and join along. Thanks for sharing!!!
This will be my first quilt a long with Crazy Mom Quilts, looks like fun!
