I’ve been a busy girl….Wednesday I had a an hour or so to quick throw a project together to work on in the car as we need to go to Minnesota for some estate business with hubby’s family. Â Real quick I machine quilted my two quilt squares and sewed the binding down. Â In the car I sewed down the sleeves and pinned the binding in place. Â Then Thursday morning I had a few minutes so I sewed down the binding…Now they are all done…
I tried to figure out a way to quilt this blue one so that it looked more like it was in a Trip Around the World design. Â I ended up stitching diagonally across the blue squares. Â It turned out much better than I expected.
Right now I am starting to contemplate next month’s blocks.  I need something to hang outside so I think I might do a little tweaking to make it longer so it’s 12 x 18 or so instead…We’ll see.
Some people are already sending their finished blocks to me. Â Email them to me any time you have them ready… Â rogjok@iowatelecom.net
Thanks so much for playing along with me…I have been having a great time with the quilt along.
Head on over to Confessions of a Fabric Addict to see what others are working on.
So pretty! I love plain square patchwork but I am terrible at matching seams so I don’t do it. I have a stand just like that but I haven’t made anything for it yet.
Good job – the quilting does help the blue stand out. Now to get busy and get mine started and done – craziness here working on our Quilt Show Raffle quilt, as well as piecing a 2nd prize smaller quilt. Our quilt show is April of 2013 – hope you can come up!
I Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike it ! !
Those are really pretty! Whoop whoop!!
