I told you that Rick and I went and looked at a pool table on Facebook Marketplace. I had Gannon’s preschool quilt in mind and was looking for camouflage fabric. We were driving right past Prairie Quilts Studio, so I thought I would stop and see if I could find some. I remember them having some Americana fabrics, so maybe there was a camouflage fabric in the mix. We were driving past, so it was worth a shot.
Rick was on the phone trying to make arrangements for the pool table to be delivered and set up, so I went in myself. I didn’t take a lot of time to look but I didn’t snap a few photos.
I was immediately surprised by the cross stitch charts. YAHOO!! They will be adding more cross stitch as time goes on. That made me happy!!

I loved the pillow!! Fall is just around the corner as far as crafting goes. Projects need to be in the making now if we’re going to have them ready for Fall.

I was on a mission to find the camouflage fabric, but Tilda fabric got in the way.

Oh…I remember these pretty prints from my last visit.

It was these that inspired me to buy the pattern to make the bag that I still haven’t made. HA!!

Oh my…I had seen this Lori Holt cross stitch pattern called Garden of Quilts, but I hadn’t seen it stitched. It’s so pretty and even better stitched up. sigh.

More cross stitch…yes!! This will become my favorite shop if they keep the cross stitch coming. HA!! Who would love a cross stitch and quilt shop all in one???

YES…I now have another supplier for DMC.

I drive past the shop regularly when I’m on my way to my cancer appointments. It’s great to have an accessible source.
Yep…Christmas. I don’t want to think about Christmas yet.

Check out this cute wooden sewing machine.

Nancy Rink??? She always had quilts published in magazines along with ours. I had to snap a picture of the book. I always love her designs.

These prints are buttery and perfect.

Lookie. I finally found the patriotic section.

Darn. No camo fabrics. I did see this. I think this is the same panel my friend Doreen is using to make a quilt.

I loved the Laundry Basket quilt fabrics. She’s a favorite of mine to admire. If I actually purchased fabric at a quilt shop, I’d lean towards her fabrics.

I love the quilts that are displayed that use the fabrics.

How bright and summery.

More Christmas with more cross stitch. YES!!

Isn’t the pumpkin so cute? I think I’m getting in a Fall mood.

Rick and I are going to redo the bedroom in grays. I was almost thinking a bright colored quilt to go with them.

I think I’d actually like the colors in the picture below better. They are more muted.

I actually really like these fabrics. Hmmm. It’s got the wheels turning.
Well…I managed to get out the door without buying anything. Right now, my mission is still camouflage fabric.

I love the Lori holt garden of quilts !! it’s an awesome design ! Looks like do much fun to do it ! I wonder if it comes as an embroidery project ?!
Oh what a nice shop and the amount of DMC all in one shop is amazing! So fun to see the different shops. You did great not to buy anything there!!
How much camouflage fabric do you need? Are you looking for more than one print?
Your posts are inspiring Jo, you always seem to get so much done!
