It’s been like Christmas here with all the great ebook titles Martingale Publishing has sent me. I just love looking through all the copies. It’s so fun to see the projects that others have come up with. Today’s book is Fresh Fat-Quarter Quilts by Andy Knowlton. I think the title for the book is great as the quilts really are fresh and bright in color. With winter here in Iowa, it’s great to see some bright cheery color!
The book features 12 projects. They range from size to difficulty. If a fun book as the premise is that you can use 6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 fat quarters to make these projects. I think that’s perfect. If you’re looking to use up stash you likely have that many fat quarters that coordinate..and if you’re looking to buy, purchasing only that many fat quarters won’t break the bank!
The first quilt features only four blocks. It’s baby sized and cute if you need a quick project. Although the premise of the book is fat quarters, this quilt would be fun scrappy. Can you imagine all different shades of blues and greens surrounding that bring yellow center?
This one I really like. What a fun quilt!
This one is the cover quilt. The block is something fun that I don’t remember seeing before.
Check out this one. Isn’t it great with that dark background??
I love dark backgrounds when I see them but often forget to give it a try.
This was a simple yet different block. Perfect for a little girl.
This quilt is called “Game Night”. What a perfect name!! I love that it’s hard to see where the block is. Don’t you?
I liked this one. Very cute.
Well I showed you seven of the twelve quilts. You’ll have to check out Amazon HERE or Martingale HERE to see the rest of the quilts. One thing I love about Martingale, they show every one of the projects in the book. I like knowing what I’m buying especially if I am buy the books online.
I think this a pretty nice book…lots of fun patterns. I think that “Game Night” quilt was my favorite.
Thank you for your review. There are some really neat quilts in here!
