Quilt Auction for the Fire Department

After careful consideration, I decided to take the advice of blog readers and auction off this quilt as a fundraiser for our local fire department.

Bidding will take place in the comment section below. All you need to do is type in your bid as this is the only item I’ll be auctioning off in this auction. All money will be donated to the fire department. You can welcome to write a check directly to the fire department or you can Paypal the money to me and I will get the money to them. Whatever you prefer and whatever is easiest for you.

The quilt is sold as is. It was a UFO sent to me by an anonymous blog reader. I put the sashing in and borders and then quilted it. My work is not professional. I’m just a girl with a sewing machine that enjoys sewing. I’m a very amateur …

longarmer so don’t expect something you can take to the fair and win a grand champion ribbon for. It is made with MUCH love though.

You can read more about the quilt in THIS blog post.

Readers suggest that I start with a minimum bid of $400. I think that’s fair. I often get asked if I am willing to sell a quilt. I typically say no but all of you readers convinced me to give it a try. So now is your turn to bid.

For those wondering the quilt is sized at 69″ x 88″.

Bidding will close at 6 pm CENTRAL TIME on Monday. This highest bidder at 6 pm can contact me at joscountryjunction@gmail.com or I will contact you…whoever gets to it first.

If you don’t know how to bid and want to, please refer to THIS BLOG POST. You can also email me at the email address I provide above.

Many thanks to those who encouraged me to put this on auction. The fire department will appreciate the extra funds and I’ll be so happy I was part of them getting them. Many thanks to the person who originally sent these goodies to me. Feel free to email me sometime and let me know who you are. I’ll keep your secret. THANKS!!

Let the bidding begin. Remember, bidding starts at $400 and bidding ends at 6 pm on Monday Central Time. Postage will be paid for by me.

  1. When I suggested selling it for at least $300, I knew it was worth more because it’s just so beautiful. I’m glad you started the bids at $400.

  2. Bravo Pat and Jen. You have inspired me to write a check for the Fire Department. Jo. This finish was stellar. Thank you.
