I did it again….I know I’m not suppose to buy cookbooks but I love them like a book. Â I take them to bed and read them and then sometimes…I even make good things from them. Â In my defense, I was at the thrift store and the book was only $1.50 and remember me saying that Hubby collects fireman related things…well this is from a fire department….that makes it all okay, right?
That’s what I told myself.
…and I did follow through. Â See my pumpkin cheesecake?
Hubby adores cheesecake. Â I have yet to find anything that he doesn’t like that contains sugar though. Â I cheated and bought a pre-made graham cracker crust…I admit, I can’t do it all!
The piece broke when I scooped it out to take the picture. Â I thought to take another one out so it looked all nice and perfect for the picture and then thought, nope. Â I’m not perfect and I’m not going to pretend to be.
The cheesecake was wonderful!
Here’s the recipe.
It’s VERY-VERY easy. Â The 35-40 minutes is not correct though. Â I think mine was in about 50 minutes. Â Take a knife and check it to know when it’s done.
I’ll be making this one again. Â A bit ago I shared a pumpkin bar recipe. Â It only used 1 cup of pumpkin….Someone asked if you could use the whole can as they didn’t want to waste the pumpkin. Â Well now you don’t have to. Â Make this cheesecake too!
I say no need to justify buying what makes you (or me) happy! lol.
At $1.50 that’s cheap enough entertainment…and useful too! Yummo, looks delicious!
I handed my 8 yr. old granddaughter a church cookbook yesterday and she told me she only likes cookbooks with pictures! So I gave her a different one. Love to see the pictures of what your dishes look like when you make them. I just printed off your rhubarb dessert from the other day. I need to make it soon. Have some rhubarb in the freezer just waiting.
Since the recipe says to use a pre-made crust — you are just following the directions!
It looks good – and only uses 2 packages of cream cheese. Economical!
