Presentation at the Local Library

A friend on mine is on a local library board and asked if Kelli and I might do a little presentation and show off our new book, Country Girl Modern.

Library

We said sure.  It will actually be great.  We haven’t done a presentation with the new quilts yet and we’d really like to.

We’ve also had several people locally who’ve been wanting to purchase a book but feel uncomfortable stopping by and just buying a book at my house-but they also don’t want to pay for the shipping charge.  Good news for you if you fall into that category- we’ll have books there at the library presentation that will be available for purchase.

So if you’re local…or even semi local stop by at the Lawler Public Library on Saturday, February 28th from 10-11am and catch Kelli and I there!    We also have plans to be in Oelwein at the Public Library on March 26th at 6:30.  We hope to see many smiling faces there!

  1. Oh, I wished I lived even semi nearby and could meet you at the library! I received your book Country Girl Modern by mail at my home in CA several weeks ago. Thank you for shipping to me so reasonably & quickly! I continue to read and look at the great pictures & instructions for the beautiful quilts you’ve made & included in the book. Unfortunately (for me only) each quilt is truly wonderful & something I would like to make. I like them all so much that I can’t decide which one to make first!

  2. I thought of you today as I drove through Iowa up 35 to Des Moines and then 80 across to IL on my way to our new home in DeKalb IL. Wondered how close I was to you. I’ll be through from time to time as my parents live south of Kansas City on I49.

  3. You know, I have followed your blog for a number of years but never hit me until tonight that you might not live too far from my paternal Grandmother’s family town- Hardy, Iowa. Haven’t been there in over 40 years but remember the fun of being on the farms there.
