Along with my UFO challenge, I had made a commitment to work on my English Paper Piecing project. Â I was working to get a couple diamonds done a month. Â I was behind until yesterday.
Yesterday I got caught up and then some….
Here’s the story that goes with the accomplishment.
Saturday hubby was out farming and SLICED through his middle finger on his left hand. Â He cut through tendons. Â Saturday was an afternoon at the ER…then Monday was an ENTIRE day at the hospital seeing doctors and eventually surgery. Â I sat and waited….and waited and waited stitching the entire time. Â Each diamond takes a bit over an hour…I finished five…that was LOTS of waiting.
Hubby is home and doing well, currently resting on the couch. Â He did of course do chores this morning….UGH! Â There’s a saying that you can’t keep a good man down…that had to be written about my hubby.
Friday is another day back at the doctor and therapy. Â I have to get more paper pieces cut and ready because I think there will be more paper piecing to do….
Judy has the February completed UFO listing done…and the new number is drawn..#1. Â You can check it our here.
So sorry about hubby’s finger! Yikes!!
Lovely hexies!
Ow, ow, ow! I hope your DH makes a quick recovery. He is probably anxious because spring field work is fast approaching.
Sorry to hear about your husband’s finger, that had to hurt! Beautiful English paper-piecing.
Your diamonds look beautiful! I enjoy this paper piecing too, but it’s been a while since I’ve done it. I’m sorry to hear about your DH :( I hope he feels better soon!
Sorry to hear of your husband’s injury. All I can think of is OUCH! Hope everything turns out ok. Your diamonds are beautiful! Good luck at the dr on Friday.
So happy to hear your DH is okay. Ouch most certainly! So what’s your #1?
I think OUCH too!
EPP is great for those times when you have to sit around and wait. I did quite few GMFs in December and January when sitting with DH in hospitals.
