I have goodies to share with you from Ray today. There is mail and finished quilts…my favorite kind of post.

Ray writes:

I received a wonderful package in the mail today from Donna F in NY. Inside was a beautiful quilt as well as some patterns that she thought I might and will use.

The top is made of a variety of fabrics. Primarily they have to do with spaceships. They will be right at home in Florida. The pattern is a quarter log cabin and shows off the patterns well. It measures 50 x 59.

I just opened a wonderful box of goodies from Dori J in WA. The note inside says these are from her and a friend that can no longer quilt. I can not imagine not being able to quilt anymore but will do my best to make sure these are put to good use.

There were four panels in the box that will make beautiful quilts along with some gorgeous fabrics. The top fabric with the tropical fish caught my eye and went in with a group of like fabrics for a Florida-themed quilt.

What I’m Making: Chickpea “Chicken” Salad

I’m back on a kick to clean out some of the “odd” things in my pantry again. This time, I was looking for a way to use an unsuspecting can of garbanzo beans (Chickpeas). One of my adult kids was on a kick about roasting chickpeas so I bought some but didn’t end up licking them the best so when I saw that Iowa Girl Eats, had a recipe for Chickpea “Chicken” Salad, I thought why not give it a try…then I can use the can up.
